On September 17th, 2009, the Governments of Ontario and Quebec hosted a full day workshop on the use of benchmarking as a tool to aid in the allocation of allowances under a cap and trade program.
The workshop was an opportunity to bring together industry and government experts from the European Union, United States and Canada to share experiences, information and best practices regarding cap and trade allocations through benchmarking.
