Drive Clean

Use the following search to find out when your light duty vehicle (passenger car, van, sport utility vehicle or pick up truck less than 4500kg) requires an emissions test for licence plate renewal.

Hybrid vehicles, powered by a combination of a gasoline engine and electric motors, are exempt from Drive Clean tests. Please refer to the Vehicle’s Licence Renewal Application for more information or contact the Drive Clean Call Centre at 1-888-758-2999.

*Resale vehicles require a valid Drive Clean Pass Certificate for license registration if the model year is 1988 or newer and older then the current calendar year.
