Environmental Assessment and Approvals Branch

The environmental assessment (EA) program is administered by the EA Project Coordination Section of Environmental Assessment and Approvals Branch. The section manages the submission and review of EAs, class EA documents, Declarations, and designations and provides general advice about the program. The section is also the first point of contact into the ministry for projects proceeding under the transit regulation and the review of objections under this regulation. The Project Review Unit is responsible for the review of Part II Order and elevation requests for the streamlined EA processes (class EA projects, waste management and electricity project regulations).
