Maya is a techical whiz. In her blog you'll find all sorts of cool tips and interesting facts about things like computers, digital cameras and iPods.

She always has her laptop with her (except when she goes camping). She's constantly updating her blog and website, and writing articles for the school newspaper.

Maya loves nature, and does her part to help protect the environment. She encourages everyone she knows to be mindful of how much stuff they buy, and to try not to buy and use too much more than they really need.

She also encourages general respect toward the environment, and reminds people that we don't have endless supplies of resources like water and energy.

There is an "Ask Maya" column in the school paper, where Maya answers other students' questions about technology and the environment.

Consumption and Conservation are two topics that are always top-of-mind for Maya.
