  • Avoid using pesticides on your lawn and garden.
    • Consider organic, natural gardening methods such as cutting your grass 2 ½” – 3” tall, leaving your clippings on the lawn, watering in the morning and just once a week.

  • Walk, cycle or take public transit whenever possible.
    • Walk to the convenience store or take the bus at least once a week to reduce your impact on climate change and air pollution.

  • Get involved in Ontario’s 50 Million Tree Program.
    • Plant a tree to help cool your home, provide habitat for birds and prevent sunburn for you and your lawn. Trees also help fight climate change.

  • Discover smart ways to water your lawn.
