CGC INC. FINED $9,000 FOR HAZARDOUS WASTE MANIFEST VIOLATIONS

CAYUGA — On November 7, 2008, CGC Inc. pleaded guilty to three violations relating to non-compliance with hazardous waste manifest requirements, stemming from waste transfers from its wall board and joint compound production facility in Haldimand County. CGC Inc. was charged following an investigation by the ministry’s Investigations and Enforcement Branch.  The company was fined $9,000 plus a victim fine surcharge, and was given six months to pay.
