Ontario is helping university graduate students conduct research into a wide range of environmental issues through its Best in Science program.
Sixteen environmental science projects in Ontario will receive $1.7 million from the program to study a range of issues, including:
As part of the Best in Science Program the government is also sponsoring events and awards to honour Ontario’s student science fair competitors and assisting with the coordination of an international green chemistry conference in Ottawa in 2010.
