TB CONCRETE & AGGREGATES LTD. FINED $3,000 FOR FAILING TO COMPLY WITH A PROVINCIAL OFFICER ORDER

NORTH BAY — On July 24, 2009, TB Concrete & Aggregates Ltd. pleaded guilty to a violation under the Environmental Protection Act for failing to comply with a requirement of a Provincial Officer Order.  The Order required the company to submit a completed application form to obtain a Certificate of Approval for the on-site silo and bag house operation at the company’s concrete and aggregate facility in Calvin Township.  The Provincial Officer Order was not complied with and the company was charged following an investigation by the ministry’s Investigations and Enforcement Branch.  The company was fined $3,000 plus a victim fine surcharge, and was given 30 days to pay the fine.
