To become certified or licensed, you have to go through rigorous training, pass examinations and meet continuing education requirements.
The Ontario Water/Wastewater Operator Certification program establishes recognized professional standards for operators in the following areas:
- minimum education requirements
- mandatory training
- verification of knowledge through standardized examinations
- experience requirements
- annual continuing education.
