There are approximately 18,000 small drinking water systems in Ontario, which are overseen by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.
Small drinking water systems make water available to the public from a privately owned system, not a municipal system. They can be found in restaurants, seasonal trailer parks, summer camps, community centres, libraries, gas stations, motels, churches and many other public facilities.
