Warren's Waterless Printing is a family owned business dedicated to providing an environmentally responsible alternative to conventional offset printing.
As Canada’s only dedicated waterless printer, Warren's Waterless Printing is able to provide a printing solution from conception in prepress, through to printing, finishing and bindery stages.
Waterless printing achieves the following environmental benefits:
- Eliminates the need for water, helping to conserve an estimated 200,000 litres of water annually
- Eliminates the use of fountain solutions and most other harmful solutions that, when released, contribute to smog and harming the ozone layer
To support its environmental programs and processes, Warren's Waterless Printing has achieved the following certifications:
- ISO 14001 – one of the few printers to do so
- Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI), which provides for the use of environmentally produced paper
- EcoLogo Certification, which ensures that printing processes use environmentally responsible inks and cleaning solvents
Warren's Waterless Printing also uses Bullfrog Power at the facility. This ensures that Warren's Waterless Printing is not adding to greenhouse gases by using sustainable, renewable power sources to run equipment and processes. Bullfrog Power’s green electricity comes exclusively from wind and hydro facilities that have been certified as low impact by Environment Canada.
