Program or Service Description:
The Spills Action Centre (SAC) receives and coordinates responses to reports of spills, adverse drinking water events and other urgent environmental concerns.
Overall:
We are committed to the OPS service principles (i.e., accessible, responsive, reliable, caring, accountable; consistent, predictable, transparent, continuous improvement) and OPS common service standards (i.e., response times to general phone calls, mail, email, fax) as outlined in the ministry's service charter.
Program or Service-specific Standards:
- The Spills Action Centre is open to receive calls 24/7/365
- Spills Action Centre environmental officers will answer inbound calls within 18 seconds
- Reports of negative feedback will be acknowledged within two business days and within five business days for feedback sent by correspondence
- Feedback on the process, or any other inquiries, can be directed to the ministry's Public Information Centre and a response will be provided within 15 business days
