The Ontario Water Wastewater Certification Office (OWWCO) assumes responsibilities for administering the certification program on behalf of the Ministry of the Environment (MOE).
Overall:
We are committed to the OPS service principles (i.e., accessible, responsive, reliable, caring, accountable; consistent, predictable, transparent, continuous improvement) and OPS common service standards (i.e., response times to general phone calls, mail, email, fax) as outlined in the ministry's service charter.
Program- or Service-specific Standards:
- We will acknowledge receipt of examination applications within 7 calendar days
- We will process exam application and mail the registration letter and receipt within 30 calendar days
- We will provide notification of level (1-4) exam results for all categories (except OIT exams) within 30 calendar days
- Notification of OIT exam results within 14 calendar days
- Issuance of an OIT Certificate within 10 calendar days
- Processing of an application for a certificate upgrade within 30 calendar days
- Processing of a Renewal application within 21 calendar days
- Issuance of a Replacement Certificate within 14 calendar days
- Facility Classification Acknowledgment within 7 calendar days
- Process Facility Classification application within 30 calendar days
- Process Training Course evaluation application within 30 calendar days
- To provide feedback or inquiries on the Drinking Water Wastewater Operator Certification process, contact Ontario Water Wastewater Certification Office and a response will be provided within 15 business days
- Return inquiries received through phone calls within one business day
