Sailboat on Lake Simcoe

From swimming and boating to fishing, Lake Simcoe is one of Ontario's most popular recreation destinations. We want your input on how we can maintain a fun and healthy environment for everyone to enjoy.

Lake Simcoe is the largest inland lake in southern Ontario outside of the Great Lakes. It is a natural wonderland in summer and winter. Its watershed is home to 350,000 people. Lake Simcoe's popularity as a recreation destination contributes to our quality of life as well as its economy: sport fishing and recreation on Lake Simcoe generate tonnes of fun - and $200 million per year in economic activity.

We are looking for your views on environmentally sustainable recreational activities on Lake Simcoe and the rivers that flow into it. What are you doing - or what would you like to see done - to ensure the long-term protection of the lake so you can continue enjoying your favourite pastimes? Your responses will help inform future actions to protect Lake Simcoe.

The Lake Simcoe Protection Multi-Season Recreation Survey is part of Ontario's ongoing commitment to protect and restore the ecological health of Lake Simcoe and its watershed. For more information, visit the Lake Simcoe Protection website.
