All Drive Clean facilities that upgrade to the new equipment will require re-accreditation.
Drive Clean facilities may begin applying for accreditation and ordering new equipment for the modernized program in late 2011.
Through the dedicated Drive Clean facility website, facilities will be able to self - manage their accreditation process online, from initial application to final withdrawal - including information changes and facility status changes.
Parsons Canada Ltd. began service delivery on July 1, 2011.
Services include the contact centre, training of DCF staff, equipment supply and maintenance, quality assurance/quality control and information systems.
Parsons Canada Ltd. has been a service partner with Drive Clean since 1999 under the name ProtectAir Corp.
The modernized program will allow Drive Clean facility owners, managers and personnel to view reports about their facility's test, repair, audit and training information.
Drive Clean facilities will also be able to re-print vehicle inspection reports for the public free of charge.
Drive Clean facilities will continue to pay a facility accreditation fee. Facilities will also pay equipment purchase and maintenance/lease fees directly to the service provider (Parsons Canada Ltd.). These costs and fees have not yet been determined.
