Licensed vendors must ensure that Class 7 (Controlled Sale) products are displayed in a manner that prevents the public from accessing them until they are provided by a store employee.
Licensed vendors may use whatever method is most suitable to meet this requirement. For example, empty containers, that have never held a pesticide, can be displayed to allow consumers to read label information. Pesticides may also be stored in a locked cabinet or behind a staffed counter to prevent access by customers.
Questions about Ontario’s cosmetic pesticides ban can be directed to the MOE’s Public Information Centre at 1-800-565-4923 or 416-325-4000 (press 0 to talk to an information officer).
