About the program
Showcasing Water Innovation is the province’s program to fund leading edge, innovative and cost-effective solutions for managing drinking water, wastewater and stormwater systems in Ontario communities.
It complements Ontario’s Water Opportunities Act by fostering innovation, creating opportunities for economic development and protecting water resources.
Under the Showcasing Water Innovation program, the province is funding projects that:
- take an integrated and sustainable approach to solve water management challenges
- use new and innovative approaches and technologies
- produce results that can be easily used by other communities
- create partnerships that highlight the benefits of collaboration.
The successful applicants
In 2011 the province put out the call for funding applications for projects that communities across Ontario and beyond can learn from and be inspired by.
Thirty-two projects were chosen to receive funding and each is now well under way. Please visit our knowledge centre to learn all about the projects and the exciting water innovations they’re producing.
