Delegated authority allows you to authorize someone to work on your behalf. Currently, a delegate can work on:
- environmental activity and sector registration (EASR)
- 20.18 and 20.23 requests.
Getting Ready
To add a delegate or to become a delegate, both of you must have a One-Key, One-Source and MOE account. To add a delegate, you need the following:
- your own One-Key and One-Source account
- your own MOE account
- your delegate’s personal name and email address
- a word or phrase (shared secret) that you will share with them. Send the secret to them now.
- Know what access you will give the delegate and designate which government accounts. Read only access to an MOE account is the minimum. To allow someone to work on your behalf, you will need to give the delegate read/write access and click MOE accounts.
To be a delegate and access your client’s account, you need the following:
- your own One-Key and One-Source account
- your own MOE account
- your client’s word or phrase (shared secret)
- the PIN Service Ontario emailed you for that client.
