Regulation 347
Regulation 347 (General – Waste Management), made under the Environmental Protection Act, ensures that non-hazardous and hazardous waste (including biomedical waste and liquid industrial waste) are managed in an environmentally sound manner.
All hospitals must comply with Ontario Regulation 347.
Ontario Regulations 102/94 and 103/94
Ontario Regulations 102/94 (Waste Audits and Waste Reduction Work Plans) and 103/94 (Industrial, Commercial and Institutional Source Separation Programs) are a part of the province's 3Rs Regulations. They help businesses and other organizations reduce, reuse and recycle their waste materials.
