Other rewards that work
Here are just a few examples of fun, creative ways to recognize and reward positive behaviour:
- A “Golden Waste Basket” award – To be awarded to a classroom, student or teacher for their recycling efforts.
- A "Golden Shoe" award – In support of a walk-to-school initiative.
- A green-deeds "rewards card" – A student gets a "point" (a stamp, sticker or hole-punch) on the card in recognition of a positive environmental action. Points are accumulated and can be redeemed for rewards like a free meal from your lunch room, a reusable water bottle or lunch tote, or other school related-materials.
