IMAX Headquarters Low Impact Parking Lot Development

Event date: August 24, 2012
Location: IMAX Corporation Head Office, Mississauga

Environment Minister Jim Bradley broke ground on a Low Impact Parking Lot Development at IMAX Corporation’s Head Office in Mississauga. The project is being led by the Credit Valley Conservation Authority and involves a number of public and private sector partners.

The IMAX project will showcase an innovative parking lot Low Impact Development (LID) retrofit. The retrofit could be replicated at other Industrial Commercial sites leading to reduced runoff volumes, improved water quality, increased base flow to streams, reduced erosion, and protected potable groundwater.

The IMAX project is part of Showcasing Water Innovation, a program that supports projects that demonstrate innovative and cost-effective approaches to improve drinking water, wastewater treatment and stormwater systems that can be used by communities across the province.
