Description: The purpose of this guide is to help proponents of waste management projects, consultants, and interested persons understand the new requirements as set out by the Waste Management Projects Regulation, enacted under the environmental assessment Act. Specifically, this Guide is designed to assist proponents in determining what environmental assessment requirements (if any) apply to a particular waste project, and to set out information about the Environmental Screening Process, which applies to specific waste management projects.
