Description: In 2001, a monitoring program undertaken by Environment Canada at a number of sites in the Bay included assessment of sediment for a range of organic compounds, including PCBs and polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and polychlorinated dibenzofurans (these are simply referred to as dioxins and furans or PCDD/Fs in this report), as well as a number of other contaminants in sediments from the mouth of the Trent River.
