Watershed-based Source Protection: Implementation Committee Report to the Minister of the Environment (November 2004)
Description: Safe drinking water is essential to human health. To protect sources of drinking water the provincial government is developing legislation that would require source protection plans to be prepared for all of Ontario’s watersheds. The goal of source protection is to safeguard human health by ensuring that current and future sources of drinking water in Ontario’s lakes, rivers and groundwater are protected from potential contamination and depletion.
