Permit Applicant Guide for Municipalities and Health Units: Controlling Mosquito Larvae for Prevention and/or Control of West Nile Virus (2011)

Description: This permit applicant guide outlines the requirements for submitting a permit (see Appendix 1) to use a pesticide (i.e., larvicide to control mosquito larvae) for the prevention or control of West Nile Virus (WNV) on public land under the jurisdiction of a municipality or Board of Health (including Ontario’s 36 Public Health Units) when supported by the local Medical Officer of Health (MOH). Public notification requirements for WNV larvicide programs are included in this guide.
