Description: The purpose of this update is to provide clarification on how the ministry interprets certain sections of the Safe Drinking Water Act, 2002 (SDWA) and the Health Protection and Promotion Act and their regulations in order that all licensed laboratories have a common understanding of the requirements, that no laboratory is mistakenly deemed out of compliance, and to ensure safe drinking water in Ontario.
