Description: From July 1 to 25, 2001, the Ministry of the Environment measured hourly pollutant concentrations along the shores of Georgian Bay, the Bruce Peninsula and on Manitoulin Island, using the state-of-the-art Mobile Air Quality Index (AQI) Unit. Six pollutants were measured in this study: ozone (O3), fine particulate matter (PM2.5), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), sulphur dioxide (SO2), carbon monoxide (CO) and mercury (Hg).
