Among the requirements for becoming a licensed toxic substance reduction planner in Ontario, applicants must complete ministry-approved training and pass the ministry-approved examination. The training course consists of two parts:
The ministry’s application process requires individuals to select their preferred dates and locations for the instructor-led in-class training and examination. The in-class component of the coursework and examination will take place over a three-day period (Tuesday to Thursday). Since we anticipate strong demand for the program, acceptance will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Once accepted into the program, applicants are required to complete self-directed online training, which should take no more than three days. This coursework must be completed prior to attending the in-class sessions.
The examination will be administered immediately after the in-class training is completed, during the afternoon of the third day.
