Working with the Council of Ontario Universities, the Ministry of the Environment helped to create three research chairs in environmental science. The province committed $800,000 a year for five years to the project.
Green Chemistry and Engineering Chairs
Dr. Cunningham and Dr. Narine research safer alternatives to toxic substances and production processes, while helping reduce barriers to the commercialization of made-in-Ontario technologies.
Renewable Energy Technologies Chair
Dr. Sivoththaman actively monitors and provides the latest in scientific research and data about any possible health impacts of renewable energy.
