Toxic substances are released into our environment by industry, vehicles, households and other sources. These substances pollute our air, land and water, and pose risks to human health and safety.
Ontario is working to reduce toxics through legislation, education and incentive programs. As a result, businesses and residents are finding ways to keep toxic substances out of our environment and repair some of the damage that was done in the past.
