Learn about what Ontario's Municipal Hazardous or Special Waste program is, its successes and where you can get more information.

The Municipal Hazardous or Special Waste program was launched in July 2008 to collect and properly manage products such as paints, solvents, used oil filters, anti-freeze, pesticides, pressurized propane containers and single-use batteries,   and keep them out of our landfills and waterways. The program is operated by Stewardship Ontario and financed by industry.

Please visit the Hazardous Waste section for more information including where you can drop off your municipal hazardous or special waste.
