Applicants must remit a $2,100 certified cheque or money order (payable to the Minister of Finance) and submit the completed toxic substance reduction planner application before they can register for a course session, begin online training, attend the in-class training, write the examination and receive a licence. The fee is being charged on a cost-recovery basis as follows:

The toxic substance reduction planner licence expires five years after it is issued. Licensed planners will be required to pay a $275 licence renewal fee.
A $75 licence replacement fee will be charged for lost licences and name changes.
