The use of products that contain Class 9 pesticides are banned for cosmetic purposes in, on, or over land, such as on lawns, vegetable and ornamental gardens, patios, driveways, parks and school yards.
The use of products that contain Class 9 pesticides are allowed for non-cosmetic purposes. For example, under the health or safety exception to control pests such as:
- wasps that sting or mosquitoes that bite

Licensed vendors can not sell Class 8 products but may store them until products are transported or transferred out of Ontario or returned to the manufacturer.
