Resampling details and results:
Free cl2 residual
monitoring indicated a minimum of 0.16 mg/L is being maintained in this part
of the distribution system.
MOE Role:
Ministry staff to monitor the situation and assist the Timiskaming Health Unit,
Town of Cobalt and the Township of Coleman. Ensure that measures are taken
to bring chlorine residual values up to adequate levels.
Background (if there is a history of the site):
The Town of Cobalt supplies drinking water to five (5) small water lines in Coleman
Township which surrounds the Town of Cobalt. The Town of Cobalt tests and samples
the water in these water lines as if the water line were part of their distribution
system by agreement and in accordance with O. Reg 170.
