Results from the 3 samples collected on April 18, 2007 were the following:

  • E. coli 0, Total Coliforms 0, 494368 9th Rd Dack Twp

MOE Role:
Monitor the situation and assist Timiskaming Health Unit, Town of Englehart and Ontario Clean Water Agency as required.

Priority Field Response was conducted on April 20, 2007 by Timmins Safe Drinking Water Staff.

Background (if there is a history of the site):
On April 16, 2007 samples were collected from raw water, treated water and the distribution system.  On April 18, 2007 the Operating Authority was notified from the laboratory of an adverse incident for the sample collected at 10th Road Dack Twp. which contained E. coli 4 and Total Coliform 22.  The Operating Authority immediately took corrective action by collecting resamples, flushing in area, increasing the chlorine dosage and verifying the free chlorine residuals in the vicinity of the adverse incident.

A Boil Water Advisory was issued by the Timiskaming Health Unit to the individual home affected (514365 10th Rd, Dack Twp.) on April 20, 2007 as a result a confirmed presence of E. coli of 17.
