The Current System does not meet SDWA Treatment Requirements. The BWA will remain in place until system is upgraded to meet current drinking water regulatory requirements. Point of Entry treatment is being considered.

Routine sampling per Regulation 459, which has been revoked and replaced by Regulation 170

Distribution System sample - 22 Total coliforms
Distribution System sample - 3 Total coliforms 1 E.coli

Boil Water Advisory issued July 26, 2001, still in effect

Resampling details and results:
Resample results from June 6, 2002 showed no presence of total coliform or E.coli.

MOE Role:
MOE staff visited the site in June, 2002, to ensure proper chlorine rates, flushing and resampling.

MOE staff revisited site in October, 2002, and noted that the operating authority is proceeding with the upgrade requirements.

The Township is in the design phase for a new water system for this subdivision. Application for the new system is expected in spring 2007.

Background (if there is a history of the site):
Previous E.coli counts in summer and fall 2001.

The Municipality of the Township of North Shores has assumed operation of this system as required in the August 29, 2001, ministry Director's Report and Order under Section 62 of the Ontario Water Resources Act.
