Why was sampling initiated?: Public Health Inspector Audit following lack of response to queries about sampling status.
Sample contaminant details: Total coliform count in supply in both water systems.
On May 23, 2002, the Medical Officer of Health issued a Boil Water Advisory to the residents of the trailer park, and it remains in effect.
Resampling details and result: Samples indicated Total coliforms at the 1 to 2 counts per 100mL.
MOE Role: MOE is being updated with bacti sampling results. The park owner has implemented a bacterial testing program.
MOE inspection June 6, 2002 found facility not in compliance with Regulation 459/00 and Provincial Officer Order was issued with requirements to address shortcomings and obtain MOE Certificate of Approval. Owner has not complied with order.
Continue to monitor compliance with legislation.
Background (if there is a history of the site): A Boil Water Advisory had been placed on the park in June of 2000 for eight days due to adverse water quality.
Incident Resolution: Ongoing - Boil Water Advisory remains in effect.
