Dalton McGuinty, Premier of Ontario

Welcome to Shared Air Summit 2007

On June 18, 2007, Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty and Environment Minister Laurel Broten once again hosted the world at the third annual Shared Air Summit.

Over 600 clean air and climate change champions from 12 countries, 15 U.S. States, 6 Canadian Provinces and Territories, and 25 cities and municipalities across Ontario joined academic, business, environmental and student leaders in Toronto to tackle the linked issues of transboundary air pollution, smog and climate change.

The theme of this year’s Summit was taking action and all speakers showed different ways that they were doing their part to protect our shared climate, environment and health.
