Independent Experts Panel on Sound-Sorb Submit Final Report

The Independent Experts Panel on Sound-Sorb held its final workshop on December 17, 2004. At the workshop, Tier 1 Panel members outlined the preliminary findings of their review. Panel members also provided details on the decision-making process that was used to draw conclusions regarding Sound-Sorb and to make recommendations to the Ministry of the Environment (MOE).

The Experts Panel final report was submitted to the ministry in February 2005. The ministry mailed copies of the report to all the Tier 2 members and posted it on the Environmental Bill of Rights (EBR) Registry for 90 days to encourage public comment. All comments received will be taken into consideration as the ministry moves forward in its review of Sound-Sorb.
