AEMOT Groundwater Management Study

The study received $234,694 (or 86 percent) from the MOE out of a total project cost of $273,409. It commenced in January 2000, and was completed in May 2001. Major study activities included the following: a study area characterization (geography, land use, water demand, hydrogeology); modeling of groundwater flows; preparation of a water budget; assessment of aquifer vulnerability; and creation of a groundwater management plan.
