Township of Amaranth Groundwater Management Study

The Township of Amaranth received $72,083 from the MOE for its PWPF study, or 81 percent of the total cost of the study ($89,035). The PWPF study began in March 2000, and was completed in October 2001. Major project activities included the following: development of a groundwater characterization and groundwater resource assessment; completion of a water budget; delineation of capture zones; inventory of contaminant sources; an aquifer vulnerability assessment; and a review of groundwater management strategies.
