Groundwater Management Study Township of East Garafraxa

The Township of East Garafraxa received $67,882 from the MOE for its PWPF study, or 84 percent of the total cost of the study ($78,795). The PWPF study began in February 2000, and was completed in November 2001. Major project activities included the following: development of a groundwater characterization and groundwater resource assessment; completion of a water budget; delineation of capture zones; inventory of contaminant sources; an aquifer vulnerability assessment; and a review of groundwater management strategies.
