The Huron County PWPF study area consists of Huron County (excluding the former Town of Exeter). The study was funded by a grant from the MOE of $198,596 (89 percent of the total cost of $223,450). It began in April 2000, and was completed in July 2002. The PWPF study for Huron County is divided into two documents: the Groundwater Resource Assessment and the Groundwater Quality Pilot Study. In the former report, existing studies and reports were analyzed to characterize the geology, hydrogeology, water quality, and aquifer vulnerability of the County, and to identify potential contaminant sources. In the latter report, findings from a pilot study in two areas of Huron County were presented where water quality sampling and testing took place. For more information on this study please contact the county, municipality or township at (519) 482-3416. Executive Summary |
