GROUNDWATER PROTECTION STUDY
CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF MARATHON

This study was funded as part of the 2001-2002 municipal groundwater studies.

The Town of Marathon received $92,650 from the MOE for its groundwater study, or 82% of the total study cost ($113,358). The study started in February 2002, and was completed in January 2003. Major study activities included the following: a technical characterization of the local groundwater resources, existing groundwater use, potential sources of contamination and land use planning considerations; and a Groundwater Protection Program.
