Town of Mono Groundwater Management Study |

The Town of Mono received $115,447 from the MOE for its PWPF study, or 70 percent of the total cost of the study ($165,920). The study began in November 1999, and was completed in September 2001. Major study activities included the following: a groundwater resource assessment; modeling of the groundwater system, including delineation of wellhead capture zones and groundwater recharge and discharge areas; a contaminant source inventory; and a groundwater vulnerability assessment. The study also reviewed land use planning and highlighted possible directions for a groundwater strategy for the Town of Mono.
