Kapuskasing, Moonbeam, and Opasatika Groundwater Management Study

The Moonbeam and Opasatika study is led by the Town of Kapuskasing. The town received $170,000 from the MOE for the study. The study components include wellhead protection at 10 municipal wells. Additional study components include regional groundwater characterization, groundwater susceptibility mapping, regional contaminant source inventory, and groundwater use assessment.
