Groundwater Management and Protection Study

The Township of Mulmur received $65,723 from the MOE for its PWPF study, or 83 percent of the total cost of the study ($78,795). The PWPF study began in February 2000, and was completed in October 2001. Major study activities included the following: development of a groundwater characterization and groundwater resource assessment; completion of a water budget; delineation of groundwater recharge and discharge areas; inventory of contaminant sources; and identification of potential groundwater vulnerability.
