Orangeville and Surrounding Areas Groundwater Study

The Town of Orangeville PWPF study received $38,999 from the MOE, representing 26 percent of the total cost of the study ($150,169). The study began in winter, 2000, and was completed in August 2001. The goal of the groundwater modeling component of the Orangeville study was to develop a three-dimensional numerical model of the regional groundwater flow systems to assess groundwater resources within the study area. This study builds upon previous groundwater modeling and hydrogeological characterization work throughout the Orangeville area. Contaminant sources were georeferenced in the PWPF study to establish their location.

For more information on this study please contact the county, municipality or township at (519) 941-2671.
