|
The Ministry of the Environment contributed $87,770 to the Town of Shelburne PWPF study, or 80 percent of the study’s total cost ($109,180). The study began in the fall of 1999 and was completed in November 2002. The study focused on groundwater resource assessment, potential contaminant sources inventory and a review of possible management strategies. The main purpose of this study was to develop an understanding of the water source utilized by Shelburne’s municipal wells, identify groundwater/surface water interactions, determined recharge/discharge relationships and complete a long-term water balance. For more information on this study please contact the county, municipality or township at (519) 925-2600. Executive Summary |
