Simcoe Groundwater Management StudyThe Simcoe study is led by the Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority. The conservation authority received $915,875 from the MOE for the study. The study components include delineating wellhead protection areas at 129 municipal wells. Additional study components include: regional groundwater characterization, groundwater susceptibility mapping, regional contaminant source inventory, and groundwater use assessment. This study will also undertake additional groundwater and aquifer characterization work on the Oro Moraine within the study area.
